Technician Seal Of Safety

Because your safety and peace of mind come first always look for the Technician Seal Of Safety™.

seal of safety

This tech seal of safety mark when displayed by a contractor, indicates that company’s dedication to protecting the  safety and well-being of you and your family.  How often have you opened your door to a service repairman only to feel extremely uncomfortable once he’s inside your house? It’s not something many people think about until it’s too late, but anyone who might feel uncomfortable at home alone with a service technician deserves to be safe from harm.

You can minimize your risk when hiring a home services contractor by going with a contractor who displays the Technician Seal Of Safety™. You owe it to yourself and your family to make sure that you are inviting individuals  into your home who have been screened by a pre-employment background check and who are tested for illegal drug use as permitted by law.

That’s why the seal of safety symbol was established: to let you, the homeowner, know at a glance which contractors stand out from the crowd when it comes to protecting the safety of you and your family.

Don’t take chances … only hire a contractor who bears the Technician Seal Of Safety™

While it’s not our intent to scare anyone, we feel obligated to mention that on occasion employees of home service contractors do commit criminal acts against homeowners.

Cathy Sue Weaver was raped and beaten to death in her suburban Orlando, FL home on August 27, 2001. Her killer then set her home on fire with the intent of destroying any evidence.

Prior to her murder, Sue had contracted with a premier company to have the air ducts in her home cleaned. Unbeknownst to her, both men sent on the service call had criminal records. One of the men was a twice-convicted sex offender on parole. Six months after the service work was completed, Jeffery Hefling returned to Sue’s home to rape and murder her.

Sadly Sue’s murder is not an isolated case. Tragically, many consumers are sexually assaulted and murdered each year by employees whose jobs allow them access to their victims. The Sue Weaver C.A.U.S.E., Consumer Awareness of Unsafe Service Employment, has been founded in Sue’s memory to promote education and awareness to the dangers of knowing who you hire.
